Playkot is hiring a Senior Backend Developer (PHP) to develop and maintain backend services for a high-load game production system with approximately 100k DAU. The role involves API and infrastructure work, performance optimization, and evolutionary development of a monolithic architecture.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend services using PHP.
- Design, implement, and maintain APIs and internal service interactions.
- Work with JSON Schema API contracts and jRPC for internal communication.
- Support and evolve a monolithic backend architecture.
- Work with MongoDB, Redis, AWS, and Centrifugo.
- Optimize data storage, caching strategies, background processes, and backend flows.
- Analyze system performance using Grafana and other monitoring tools.
- Identify bottlenecks, degradation points, and inefficiencies.
- Ensure system reliability under real production load.
