Agroprosperis is hiring an experienced Chartering Manager in Nicosia, Cyprus. The role combines Charter-In, Charter-Out and Commercial Voyage Management, initially focused on supporting home cargo requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Search, select, negotiate and fix vessels on Time Charter terms for home cargo requirements.
- Negotiate hire rates, periods, options and charter terms with shipowners.
- Build and maintain a pool of available tonnage and relationships with owners.
- Source cargoes for chartered-in vessels and negotiate freight rates, routes, laycan and chartering terms.
- Execute and supervise contracts, including fixture and post-fixture activities.
- Develop relationships with clients, traders, forwarders and brokers.
- Monitor freight markets, rate trends, regional dynamics and the competitive landscape.
- Plan commercial voyage parameters, including routes, schedules, costs and margins.
- Ensure compliance with the commercial terms of charter parties.
- Coordinate with the Operations Manager responsible for operational execution.
- Analyze voyage results and prepare P&L for the business line.
